Oiseau is a story-heavy 2D platformer where the player explores the world and gains abilities while gradually losing health and stamina. The story represents a journey of illness and recovery, which was incredibly personal to our team.
The project resulted in a demo that was presented at Develop:Brighton 2019.

Accessibility Design
Rigging and Animation
The characters were 2D, and I rigged and animated each one in Unity.
My main focus of the project was accessibility, which was also the topic of my dissertation where I used Oiseau as a working example.
I completed a large amount of research which included looking at statistics for gamers with disabilities, and how making changes during development could create more accessible games for everyone. I used this research to advocate accessibility and recommended solutions to any accessibilty issues.
With all the research I had gathered, I created an accessibility guideline document for the team to refer to during the project, as well as any future projects.
